Within Saranity you will be attacked by waves of incoming enemies with all kinds of different behavior and perks. In the current Alpha version only units that attack the main target and turrets are implemented. The attacking waves exist out of 3 classes of waves.
- Normal wave:
Normal wave just spawn units with a great variety of classes that increase in numbers, diversity and health each wave.
- Special wave:
A Special wave is announced in the game by a sound that sounds like a horn. The Special wave spawns at random intervals and the units spawn all around the edges of the map simultaneously. Special wave units will only target the main objective if all other targets of their type are destroyed.
- Boss wave:
A Special wave is announced in the game by a sound that sounds like a horn. This wave exists out of one or more very powerful units with high damage and lots of health. As these boss units move slow you have time to intercept them but if they reach your defense they will wreck havoc on your defenses. The boss wave will increase in numbers depending in the round number currently playing and the game mode running.
Every round for a map that supports the slammer units, there is a % change that the slammer units are being added into the wave spawning pool. This means that a % of units spawn in that wave will be replaced with the Slammer units instead of the normal unit that would spawn.
