Defending your base would be a lot easier with these defensive turrets. These turrets can be build from the team gold resources and like buildings can only be build by the a player in the commander position. The turrets use a enemy player lock to lock onto the first enemy unit that comes into range. The turrets will keep the lock on the player until the player either died or moved out of its locking range. The amount of turrets you can build per class depends on the other regular buildings you can build. Right now only the Ultimate shrine increases turret count for each class with 2 additional turrets.
Turret 1: Plasma Tower
This is a small turret with direct lock capability. It fires high speed plasma bolts and keeps its lock on the first enemy that come to close. The turret fires medium damage plasma bullets that can be dodged if the player remains on full speed movement. It is advised to place multiple of these turrets at different angles to get the most effective defense.
Turret 2: Gas Tower
The Gas tower is the big brother of the Plasma tower. This turret has a long range and fires 3 main blobs of gas in the forward direction of the player that explode into gas clouds upon impact with the ground. As the turret takes player speed and direction into account you will need to move around quickly or you will be affected by its poison. The gas will deal area effect damage to all enemy players in the range and keep a lingering poison effect on the player causing the GUI to slightly turn green for the remaining poison ticks.
